GG Compactors would like to celebrate over 34 years of manufacturing with our new branding and a look at the people who have made us successful with some of our fondest memories.
In 1980 Len Gamblin was running a company called Portable Compactors Ltd shortly after the Lennox House Group was formed. In 1982 GG Compactors Limited was established, and this is where our journey began.
We can safely say that Len has been semi-retired now for over a decade, however everything Len started has very much become a success story for the family.
It’s safe to say that Len is a very proud man with much to be proud of! Being proud of the Garbage Gorger range is something that has spread across the company with a strong belief in what we do. From the very start Len has created a proud & professional vibe around GG Compactors; this in mind let me take you back.
In 1999 a young man by the name of Andrew Cain joined GG under the wing and guidance of Len. A short while after being with the company Andy found himself on an annual trade function accompanied by Len, it had been your typical day at the office deserving a rightfu rest come the evening. Some time later the pair has split paths “networking” it’s fair to say Andy found himself “two (or three) sheets to the wind” at this point it wouldn’t be unfair to suggest the worry had kicked in! Moments later Len found the lost employee stretched out across some stairs… left with a blank expression Len decided the best thing he could do was to remove Andy’s name badge representing GG Compactors and walk away.
